CITY WALLS. Walking in the Air-Tour
Here is something unique that not all Italian cities of art can offer you. The medieval city walls of Pisa have been opened to the public in late 2016 and it has been a growing success ever since.
Their path of 1,8 miles allows us to have a remarkable view of Miracles Square and its monuments. Their history, told from this perspective, acquire an even more suggestive meaning.
The walkway continues in a north-easterly direction and this allows us to reveal a Pisa rarely visited by tourists: we will see traces of Roman Pisa, of the Lombard one up to the Renaissance one.
A journey through the centuries comfortably following an elevated path over the city. At the end we will descend into the surprising Piazza delle Gondole, an urban tiny port where a sort of gondolas were used to transport passengers and goods along the canals of Monti Pisani, the enchanting hills of Pisa.
On the way back, we cross the historic streets of the city center where a stop / coffee offered by the Guide cannot be missed, obviously only by choosing the best coffee shop in Pisa!
